Our students got out on May 17!!! How old are your children? We have all sorts of military aircraft both helicopters and fixed wing because we live between an Army post & and Air Force base. The people who try to take a picture with people walking around like ants is hilarious! Your video colors seem more brilliant, did you get a new camera? Did the calling out of 1,2,1,2,1,2 when the Blues & Royals were dismounting get messed up? I think Guard 4 said 1 and should have said 2, making the last guard end on 1. Then when they moved to dismount, wrong horses moved forward and had to move back. Oopsy, Mondays.🤷

I saw him in prominent position behind the King and Queens carriage at stood close behind them to their right on his horse while they were sat watching but I didn’t see any sign of him being presented to the King

I was watching one of your videos talking about "regimental colours vs regimental standard" Standards are Royal, so carried in presence of the Sovereign; Colours are borne by the Sovereign's forces. For example, "The King's company Colour, Royal Standard of the Regiment", is the Company's Colour, but His Majesty The King's Standard in battle or on ceremony (when with his company). So either name is correct There is lots of meaning and symbolism with these flags.

I think you're right about the sign. I've noticed a tendency on the part of the visitors to treat the Trooper and his/her mount as: some sort of guide or information person. and worst of all, the touching and grabbing the reins suggests they think the poor Horse Guard and mount are the kind of "living statues" one sees at Covent Garden. Save the Horse Guards!

It’s same group of people young and old they not only disrespect the soldiers but also the country they represent .

Welcome back John. I didn’t realize how much I would miss this channel until I hadn’t seen it and was watching something else for more than a day or two, lol. And there’s a difference between people making an honest mistake (like maybe going into the arch where there is no chain, but there’s a chain on the sides), vs people being intentionally disrespectful like mocking the guards, touching them/their equipment, grabbing the horses’ reins, etc. I think you’re quite fair in your criticisms. If I ever do get to London in my lifetime, I’ll be glad to have watched your channel! 😊. Thank you.

Hi John completely agree with you about pointing out and taking disrespectful tourist’s to task the Kings Guards do an amazing job and they and the horses have to put up with an awful lot, would they like it it we went to there county and did or said something so disrespectful no they wouldn’t, all the guards and the police do an amazing job as do you John love watching your video’s

I would say you are being TOO nice to the people who are being disrespectful to the kings guards & the horses . I would not be as lenient. They are in THEIR workplace not a sideshow.
